East Norwalk, the city of Norwalk's original colonial settlement, is in Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Its northern border is Westport Avenue, its eastern border is Westport, its southern border is Long Island Sound, and both Norwalk Harbor and Norwalk River are its western border.
Veterans Memorial Park and Marina is a popular attraction in East Norwalk. It offers a baseball field, a boat launch, and a large open field where the annual Norwalk Oyster Festival is held. Calf Pasture Beach has a boat launch, playground, miniature golf, and a pier. The Shore and Country Club is available to residents. The Taylor Farm Park is a place where pets can frolic in the open space and is home to the annual Greenwich Kennel Club Dog Show. In addition, the beautiful 18-hole Shorehaven Golf Course is located on the eastern shore of East Norwalk. Among the local places to explore are Stew Leonard's--a farm and dairy store with cows, goats, chickens, and geese on the premises. It has been named as one of 'Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work for'. The New York Times called Stew Leonard's the "Disneyland of Dairy Stores".
